Our STORY

In 2015, in Las Vegas, the adventure of The Real Crepe restaurant began. The torch was passed onto Nicolas, a pastry chef graduate from France. Nicolas, who worked as a pastry chef in prestigious Bellagio Hotel and Casino kitchens, already had solid knowledge of the restaurant business.


Nicolas celebrated his 22nd birthday at the creperie in 2020. Given his young age, he gave a new life to The Real Crepe, young, dynamic, in the air of time.
With a renewed and extended menu, a greater diversity of savory and sweet dishes, Nicolas succeeded in attracting a truly international clientele.


While the French atmosphere remains essential, all our customers can find what they are looking for in terms of gastronomy, atmosphere, and setting.

Nowadays, eating at The Real Crepe has become a routine for many regulars. The restaurant is, without a doubt, a place known and appreciated by Las Vegans, to enjoy crepes, gluten free crepes, waffles, croque-Monsieur, and many other specialties which together make up the traditional French cuisine experience.
COVID: Thanks to hard work, a will to succeed, a constant care for the customers, and very qualitative dishes, The Real Crepe and all its workers managed to overcome the crisis. They came out of it even stronger than before!

The  Origin of Crepes 


The origin of crepes and pancakes goes back to the dawn of time, and if we spontaneously associate them with Brittany, where they have won their letters of nobility, they are not the preserve of these regions alone.
Long before Jesus Christ, the "galette" was the staple food in the countryside. Accompanied by various cereals, the pancake was still a simple, spread and dried porridge that was prepared on a round metal plate, then cooked in the hearth of the fireplace.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


The history of the pancake is then intertwined with the extraordinary fate of buckwheat. Originally from Asia, this buckwheat with pink flowers was brought back from the Crusades in the 12th century. Its culture then spread throughout Europe.
Nicknamed “the hundred-day plant”, buckwheat grows quickly, but requires constant humidity, a temperate climate and good soil.

Made with wheat flour as per French tradition. GLUTEN-FREE buckwheat flour upon request for $1.50. All crepes come with a side of salad.

Add any ingredient for $1.00 each: egg, cheese, tomatoes, onions, spinach, mushrooms, tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil pesto, guacamole, brie, goat cheese. For $1.50: ham, bacon, sausage. For $2: salmon.
